AIR KNIFE DRYING / CLEANING
/ COOLING SYSTEM is a non contact method of
removing unwanted surface lioyid, moisture,
dust, contamination, debris or static charge
during manufacturing process of predominantly
conveyed (moving) articles or parts.
AIR KNIFE devices a continuous laminar sheet
of precisely controlled high velocity air for
stripping away moisture and debris. When a moisture
laden article passes a AIR KNIFE it works in
two ways. The curtain of air pushes the lioyid
from the surfaces of the article and than the
residual moisture is shattered into tiny droplets.
owhich are carried away by the continuous stream
of air. Unwanted debris is also removed In a
similar way by the high velocity air from the
AIR KNIFE by simply blowing the debris from
the article and carrying it off.
For some specific applications this system can
be used to cool components by dissipating heat.
Also this system can be used to take away static
charges with ionizing of the air.
Normally, reliable supply of low-pressure ambient
air is taken from a Centrifugal Blower. In some
cases low-pressure compressed air can also be
used.
Drying with AIR KNIFE has known to CUT COSTS
by 80% compared with thermal drying and compressed
air systems with nozzles.
An effective working system can be assembled
using standard single or multiple AIR KNIVES
located strategically. For certain applications,
combination of AIR KNIVES with AIR NOZZLES will
bring desired results. System will also incorporate
ideally placed Single or Multiple Blowers, Flexible
Hoses, Clamps, Manifolds and 'such accessories.
AIR KNIVES AND AIR NOZZLES are available in
different sizes, lengths and shapes. Most common
material of construction is Hard Anodized Aluminium,
Electroless Nickel Plated Aluminium and 304
S.S. System can also be supplied with Filtered
air to meet most stringent standard for Food,
Pharmaceuticals, Electronic or similar applications.
